For What I Am Thankful

Thanksgiving Day. I great, food, but you don't have to spend money on presents. All holidays should be so great (and cheap). Plus, as a bonus, you tell the people that you care about for what you are thankful. Before I leave for my day, I want to remind myself and tell anyone that may read this of my list of thanks.

  1. I am thankful to have had my mother for another year. Nothing was as scary for me as the thought of losing her to cancer.
  2. I am thankful for two beautiful children. My boys, although fighting at this very moment, are a blessing from God. They are my happiness and my greatest accomplishments.
  3. I am thankful for my supportive husband. He is sweet, nurting, a wonderful father and a fabulous husband. And most of all, he is in love with his wife.
  4. I am thankful for my professional work. I have never been this happy in a work place, never felt this challenged (I thrive on challenge), and feel blessed to have this "window" of opportunity granted to me when so many doors felt closed or slammed. Education is the most demanding and most rewarding responsibility (professionally...).
  5. I am thankful for new friends. Especially one that I have met through my work place. AK is one wonderful sistah...I never dreamed that I could love someone that is as much like me as me, but I do. And to make a friend that I have learned and can learn so much from, that is another blessing altogether.
  6. I am thankful that I woke up today. Every day is another chance to "get it right."
  7. I am thankful for all of my strengths and weaknesses. Without a weakness, you could never know your strengths.
  8. I am especially thankful for laughter. My sister HATES how easily I laugh. But I just think of all the seven seconds I keep adding to my life. Oh. And it helps that I'm annoying my sister. :)
  9. I am thankful for a school full (325 to be exact) of children that allow me to be a part of their life. Even if they all call me by a different name...LOL
  10. I am thankful for my faith. My faith in God, in hope, in happiness, in friendship, in something greater than me. It is this faith that keeps me going, that allows me to believe that nothing is ever that bad, that if I believe, I can make it happen (with a higher power by my side).
I hope that everyone has something to be thankful for...Happy Thanksgiving!
